World Medical Mission, a division of Samaritan’s Purse, facilitates trips for medical professionals such as physicians and dentists who are seeking to contribute their skills on a short-term basis. WMM ensures a seamless experience by:
- Aligning each volunteer’s skills and availability with the hospital’s needs.
- Offering pre-trip orientation and spiritual guidance.
- Organizing travel plans and accommodations.
- Handling visas, permits, and local logistics.
- Managing housing and transport on-site.
- Providing support with financial logistics for the trip.
Deadline Dates
Tenwek and Samaritan’s Purse need time to process medical licenses for serving in Kenya. Here are key upcoming dates for obtaining Kenya Medical Licenses (KML):
- Visiting physicians arriving between January 1 – March 31, 2027: All applications including license paperwork to visiting staff before November 6, 2026.
- Visiting physicians arriving between April 1 – June 30, 2027: All applications including license paperwork to visiting staff before February 12, 2027.
- Visiting physicians arriving between July 1 – September 30, 2027: All applications including license paperwork to visiting staff before May 7, 2027.
- Visiting physicians arriving October 1 – December 31, 2027: All applications including license paperwork to visiting staff before August 6, 2027.
