We empower Tenwek Hospital to provide world-class healthcare to people in rural Kenya.
Spiritual Support
We seek God to meet the spiritual needs of Tenwek Hospital through dedicated weekly prayer meetings and by circulating prayer request updates via emails and printed newsletters. Our board of directors includes a spiritual committee that works in collaboration with Tenwek Hospital’s Director of Spiritual Affairs to help plan training events and sponsor retreats for the chaplains working at the hospital.
Capacity-Building
FOT strives to strengthen Tenwek’s skills and resources needed to adapt, grow, and thrive over time. Our “Champions” are individuals who are passionate about supporting and enhancing specific medical departments or ministry areas of Tenwek Hospital. They seek to meet the needs and improve their areas of specialty by building a base of supporters in the US who provide financial capacity, peer support, equipment or supplies, and on-site service when needed.
Financial Resources
We fundraise throughout the year to meet the needs of projects such as hospital infrastructure, medical education and training, the School of Health Sciences and the School of Chaplaincy community health and development initiatives, special ministries for patients and orphans in need, and specific medical departments at Tenwek.
